You came to us again and again,
And brought about its rejuvenation.

As Meher Baba, You did come,
Laying the foundation of a science,
To greet Peace with a welcome.

God, You were, who came to us,
Living here as a man on the earth,
To investigate religion's slowdown
And find a solution of worth.

Although disguised as a man,
You were God who came to us,
All the frailties that You showed,
Could not hide You from us !

Daasaanudaasa of the devout.

We desire to be in constant satsangh
With You, who can lead us on:
We seek and pray for total freedom
From samskaras with which we are born.

Interned in Samadhi, but present everywhere,
You know of our never ending plight:
If a groan is heard or a tear trickles
You come down to set things aright.

With silence, pointing to the Path of Love,
Spiritual Awakener of empathy true,
You called on us to bear responsibility
with the motto "Do as I do".

We are not betrayed by illusive Maya
When, Awakener!,You are around:
We cannot abandon our strife for progress
When fruits of Your Grace abound.

Oh! Beloved Meher! keep guiding us,
Straggling on this ancient path.
Designed by Siddhas,Tamil bhaktas of yore,
But lost in the aftermaths.

With your Divine Blessings, our dear Lord,
we will face the future, bold:
undeterred from the path laid out
